The STEM program provides hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering and math.
About the Program
The Dartmouth Bound STEM Exploration Program is designed to provide participants with insight into what STEM programs at Dartmouth offer, as well as giving information about the admissions and financial aid process. The program is also a forum in which participants engage with current students and Dartmouth faculty to explore the intersection of academics, engagement, and leadership at the College. All STEM sessions will give participants valuable exposure to research, academics, and life in an Ivy League setting.
Dates for the 2016 program will be announced in spring of 2016. To be considered for the 2016 program you must be a “rising senior” (a senior in the academic year 2016-17).
Tours include an orientation of the Dartmouth campus and facilities, as well as specific areas of interest, including tours of the athletic facilities, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, and the Thayer School of Engineering.
Admissions workshops and case studies are a hallmark of our program. Admissions officers will walk you through our individualized review process and provide tips for completing college applications. You will have the chance to review real applications to the College as part of a mock admissions committee exercise. You will also have the opportunity to meet in small groups with a member of our admissions staff to ask questions about the college application process.
Financial aid makes the Dartmouth experience possible for all students, regardless of their family finances. We will provide an overview of how financial aid works at Dartmouth and answer questions.
