Students examine the intersections of social justice and the arts in this unique interdisciplinary program. Through workshops in theater and creative writing led by BAM teaching artists, participants explore important issues affecting their communities while developing artistic, decision making, and critical thinking skills. The program culminates in an original theater piece created and performed by the students for friends and family at the BAM Fisher.
In this program, students:
・ Engage in self-expression, creative writing, research, and in-depth group projects
・ Develop an original theatrical presentation to share with their friends & family
・ Perform at the BAM Fisher
・ Attend events and discussions with invited guest speakers
