High School dancers and choreographers gain special access to the artists of BAM’s 2016 Next Wave Festival in this free workshop series, led in partnership with Mark Morris Dance Group. Participants gain rare insight into the creative process of world-renowned companies by attending performances, engaging in discussion, and participating in intensive classes led by the artists themselves. Participating artists will include Abraham.In.Motion, Steven Reker, and BAM’s annual Harkness Foundation Artist in Residence, Faye Driscoll.

Application deadline: Sep 23, 2016

For Grades 9-12 only. Space is extremely limited. Participants should have at least two years of dance training as well as previous choreographic experience. All students must complete an online application and interview in order to be considered for the program. BAM will cover the cost of performance tickets.

Participating artists will include Abraham.In.Motion, Steven Reker, and BAM’s annual Harkness Foundation Artist in Residence, Faye Driscoll.

Space is extremely limited. Participants should be entering grades 9-12 in Fall 2016, have at least two years dance training, and previous choreographic experience. All students must complete an online application and interview in order to be considered for the program. There will be no audition.

Participants must commit to ALL dates of the program, which includes attending three dance workshops and three performances. BAM will cover the cost of performance tickets.

Applicants will be contacted shortly after the application deadline of Fri, Sept 23, 2016. Interviews and notification will take place between Sept 26 – Oct 7, 2016.
