THE THIRD ANNUAL OF THE DOMINICAN FILM FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK You are coordinately invited to the evenings in which you will embody the culture and enhance your discovery! The Third Annual of the Dominican Film Festival In New York will take place at two venues fromJune 18 to June 22 at the Alumni Auditorium of Columbia University Medical Center, located at 650 West 168 St on the corner of Broadway and also at the Hall of Fame Theater of the Armory Foundation, located at 216 Forth Washington Avenue (at 168th Street). DFFNY will screen more than 30 films made by Dominican filmmakers and others with the interest of Dominican storytelling. The festival will screen feature films, short films and documentaries from the Dominican Republic, U.S.A., Puerto Rico and Spain. There will also be special artist tributes, panel discussions and festivities. The inauguration and opening film start at 6:00 p.m. on June 18, in which the attendees will enjoy the North East Premiere of the acclaimed film "Al Sur de la Inocencia" (To the South of Innocence) directed by Héctor M. Valdez, starring Dominican popular actors Frank Perozo and Jullieta Rodréguez. The closing night film will be the documentary "Mala Mala" directed by Dan Sickles and Antonio Santini.
