Interested in film studies? FREE screening of Havana Curveball on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 7 PM at JCC Manhattan (Amsterdam and West 76th Street)...

REACT to FILM would like to invite you and your students to attend a screening event on October 21st of the film "Havana Curveball."  It will be held at the JCC Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Ave. at 76th St, and will begin at 7pm.  Q&A with Film Directors to Follow.  

There is no cost to participate for REACT to FILM partner schools.  

Thirteen-year-old Mica takes to heart his rabbi's dictate to help "heal the world" and launches a grand plan to send baseball equipment to Cuba—a country with a mysterious pull for him. He only knows that Cubans have few resources, love baseball, and gave his grandfather refuge during the Holocaust. But his filmmaker parents know a curveball is coming.
