Teen Ambassadors is a leadership program for high school students initiated by Pajama Program to provide leadership opportunities while supporting Pajama Program’s mission.
The goal of the program is to help teens develop important skills including the ability to inspire and motivate their peers, to communicate effectively, to take initiative with ideas, and to make plans and execute them. Students will participate in brainstorming sessions and learn how to collaboratively share ideas and create programs by developing a Leadership Action Plan. They will design activities, organize roles and responsibilities for each participant, and establish time lines for executing programs and projects for Pajama Program within their schools and communities. The Ambassadors will meet monthly throughout the school year at Pajama Program Headquarters for 1-2 hours after school. Participation will help students fulfill community service requirements for graduation and build experience for life. The hope is that these student ambassadors will make community service and activism an important part of their lives and become lifelong volunteers in pursuit of helping those that are less fortunate.

The Pajama Program
Pajama Program is a national 501(c)3 organization that provides new pajamas and books to children in need, many waiting and hoping to be adopted. The organization recently launched the nationwide One Million Good Nights initiative to collect one million new pajamas and books for children in need by the end 2015. Snuggling up in cozy new pajamas with their very own new book gives these children a secure and nurturing ‘Good Night’ at bedtime.
