What started as a dumping ground is now a beautiful community wildlife sanctuary. Join Manhattan Wetlands and Wildlife and Conservancy North to help cleanup North Cove. Enjoy a talk on biodiversity with EPA award winner Jim "Birdman" Cataldi. There will be food for all those who pitch in. Please arrive a little early. Sturdy shoes or boots and long sleeves recommended. At the end of 9th Ave, just north of W. 207th St., on the Harlem River. Roll up your sleeves and make a difference in the community! The Harlem River North Cove Music Festival follows (3pm-8pm) featuring top NYC jazz, rock n' roll & more.....acoustic / electric, free admission, but free-will / pass-the-hat donation requested.
