Youth Insights (YI) is a free after-school program for New York City high school students at the Whitney Museum of American Art

Youth Insights (YI) is a free after-school program for New York City high school students at the WHITNEY. It brings teens together with contemporary artists, providing opportunities to work collaboratively, discuss art critically, think creatively, and make art inspired by this exchange.
This summer, Youth Insights is offering a new free program for New York City high school English Langauge Learners in grades 10 through 12: Youth Insights Introductions.

YI Artists and Writers programs bring teens together with contemporary artists, providing opportunities to work collaboratively, discuss art critically, and think creatively. YI Artists make art inspired by this exchange. YI Writers explore art and the connections between art and text through critical and creative writing.
Open to: New York City high school students, grades 9–12.
Application information: YI Artists and Writers programs will not be held during the 2014–2015 school year while the Whitney transitions to its new building. We will resume YI Artists and Writers the following school year. Instead, we are offering a new, free monthly drop-in program starting in October 2014 called YI: Saturday Sessions. Check back for more information in early September 2014.
