Teens Against Tobacco

Our "Teens Against Tobacco" is a group of high school students who will be trained by the Program Director on tobacco control issues.
They will join the Director for community presentations  and create a T-shirt with strong tobacco-free  messaging.
Additionally, our teens will staff an informational tent for Tobacco Awareness Day in January and work on a project to educate the community.

Be sure to check our links for updates on the activities of our teens and the ways in which you can participate.

WHO WE ARE
The Manhattan Smoke-Free Partnership is a health advocacy group that increases awareness of tobacco control issues in the borough of Manhattan among community members and policy makers. Partnering with the community, legisla-tors and health advocates, we support neighborhood-based efforts for effective and long-term change throughout the borough of Manhattan. We are funded by the New York State Department of Health and the Department of Health and Human Services.

WHAT WE DO
  •  Reduce access to tobacco products and limit tobacco industry marketing to youth.
  •  Increase the number of smoke-free outdoor spaces, including parks, beaches and entryways.
  •  Increase the number of apartment buildings, co-ops and condos that are 100% smoke-free.
  •  Engage community partners to build support for policy campaigns.
