Do you want to develop leadership, civic engagement and advocacy skills? Learn about college access and personal finance management? Support immigrant communities in becoming empowered and gaining access to important services and resources? If so, consider applying for the New Americans Youth Leadership Corps (NAYLC) TODAY!!!

The NAYLC program will support high school students - who are immigrants or children/grandchildren of immigrants - in their pathways to success, and in developing key skills and knowledge in support of their self-empowerment. Between January 13 and April 20, 2016, NAYLC participants will engage in a series of interactive workshops focused on leadership, civic engagement, advocacy, college access, and finance management, and will then put their learning to practice through volunteer services in support of immigrant communities and nonprofit organizations that serve them.
In order to be eligible for the NAYLC program, applicants must be:
  • an immigrant or a child/grandchild of an immigrant
  • currently enrolled in high school
  • interested in attending college
  • available to participate in all of the scheduled NAYLC workshops and commit to 12 or more hours of volunteer service between January 13 and April 20, 2016
Applicants from households with less than $57,003 in income will be prioritized for spots within the NAYLC program.

Applications are due by Monday, November 15 at 5pm.
