FREE Shakespeare Love's Labour's Lost

FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT is a curation of pieces which we believe will bring you pockets of joy during your day.

Flashback to summer of 2013... Free Shakespeare in the Park debuts Alex Timbers' adaptation of Shakespeare's LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST. With songs written by the late Michael Friedman, this musical was the first original adaption of Shakespeare's work at The Delacorte since 1971.
Before their run at The Delacorte, the cast performed some of the show's songs at Joe's Pub. Watch the preview here.
Running from July 23-August 18, 2013, The Delacorte was filled with song, laughter, and joy. Take a peak at the show from that summer.
In LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST, romance, revelry, and enchanting music ignite in this contemporary yet lovingly faithful musical adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy. The King and his best buds decide at their five-year college reunion to swear off the joys of women. But when four cute, clever girls from their past show up, they’re forced to reconsider all of that nonsense! Smart, sexy, outrageous, and irreverent, LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST is a madcap celebration of true love and coming of age.
The cast featured Daniel BreakerKevin Del AguilaColin DonnellRachel DratchAndrew DurandKimiko GlennJeff HillerRebecca Naomi JonesJustin LevinePatti MurinLucas Near-VerbruggheBryce PinkhamCharlie PollockCaesar SamayoaMaria Thayer, and Audrey Lynn Weston.
Whether you joined us at The Delacorte in 2013 and wanted to revisit the songs or you're just curious on hearing what you missed, we have the cast recording for you to take a listen. It's available at Ghostlight RecordsAmazonApple Music, and Spotify.

Any current K-12 student in the United States or internationally may enter. Students and educators can review submission guidelines and workshop materials.
