Dear Friend and Neighbor: I would like to remind you that tomorrow is the kickoff of the Kid Cinema Fest's Year-Round Children, Teens and Families' Film Series at Alianza Dominicana. The Kid Cinema Fest is a free monthly film series for the children and youth in our community that I have supported since I began at the Council. Upcoming film screenings are as followed: SUNDAY, MAY 25 - UNE VIE DE CHAT (A Cat in Paris) SUNDAY, JUNE 29 - MIA AND THE MINGOO SUNDAY, JULY 27 - THE SECRETS OF SKELL SUNDAY, AUGUST 31 - KOKURIKO-ZAKA KARA (From Up on Poppy Hill)

This year's program will offer a lineup of educational, creative, fun and culturally diverse films from around the world for children and families. It will include a range of genres from fiction, animation, documentaries, and short films. The film series aims to demonstrate immense offerings of talent for our kids and young people in the Washington Heights, Inwood and Marble Hill area.  The program is set to start on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM  at Alianza Dominicana Cultural Center located at 530 West 166th Street and Amsterdam with the animated film, Eleanor's Secret (ages 3+) from the Academy Award nominated director, Dominique Monféry.
