Flashback to summer of 2013... Free Shakespeare in the Park debuts Alex Timbers' adaptation of Shakespeare's LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST. With songs written by the late Michael Friedman, this musical was the first original adaption of Shakespeare's work at The Delacorte since 1971.

Running from July 23-August 18, 2013, The Delacorte was filled with song, laughter, and joy. Take a peak at the show from that summer.

In LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST, romance, revelry, and enchanting music ignite in this contemporary yet lovingly faithful musical adaptation of Shakespeare's comedy. The King and his best buds decide at their five-year college reunion to swear off the joys of women. But when four cute, clever girls from their past show up, they’re forced to reconsider all of that nonsense! Smart, sexy, outrageous, and irreverent, LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST is a madcap celebration of true love and coming of age.

The Pulitzer Center has launched its youth poetry contest (deadline Friday, May 15, 2020). How can poetry be an effective response to current events and under-reported stories? How can we use poetry to connect global issues to our local and personal contexts? Students are invited to explore these questions and make their voices heard in their entries to the Fighting Words Poetry Contest. Any current K-12 student in the United States or internationally may enter. Students and educators can review submission guidelines and workshop materials. Program Description: S-PREP is a free high school and college preparatory program for 7th - 12th grade students, who are interested in a career in medicine or related STEM professions. Summer Program offerings include: Academic enrichment in math & science (Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Ready for Pre-Med, Geometry & Pre-Calculus), PSAT prep, academic/career counseling, career development, college preparatory workshops, college tours & field trips. Program dates will be July 2^nd – July 31^st from 10am – 3pm. A program overview can be found on our website below along with the application.
