We offer small-group writing workshops for children ages 8-15, led by professional writers who are also dynamic instructors. To ensure our workshops are accessible to all children, tuition is pay-what-you-can.We are expanding to a summer program and would love to work with WHEELS, whether it's making our flyer available to your students and parents, or keeping us in mind for opportunities to connect with you, your students, and parents.I was raised in Washington Heights, where I also raised my daughter, just a few blocks away from WHEELS on 183rd Street. I'm personally committed to seeing kids in our neighborhood get every possible opportunity to grow and explore. Please let me know if there are any opportunities for us to let the WHEELS community know that we're here and we welcome everyone to join us this summer. Thanks!

Uptown Stories offers summer workshops led by professional
writers and master teachers.
Students ages 8-15 learn the craft of writing, engage their
imaginations and join an exciting, supportive community. Workshops meet Monday
through Friday from 10:00 AM — 2:00 PM for one week, and conclude with a
celebratory reading open to family and friends. Snacks will be provided, but students
should bring a bag lunch.
To ensure Uptown Stories is accessible to all children, tuition is “pay-what-you-can.”
