Summer 2017 Apply by June 16, 2017 FemSem is a FREE weeklong summer program at Columbia University focused on gender equity, justice, feminism, activism and movement building for any self-identified girls and gender non- conforming youth ages 14 to 18.

FemSem is a FREE weeklong summer program at Columbia University focused on gender equity, justice, feminism, activism and movement building for any self-identified girls and gender non- conforming youth ages 14 to 18. Collaborate with a diverse group of girls from across the city to make a difference in your community! Join us to explore your interests and develop a gender equity project of your own! Brought to you in partnership with the Research Institute on Women, Gender and Sexuality at Columbia University and the YWCA of the City of New York, FemSem will take place from Monday, July 10th to Friday, July 14th from 9:00am to 4:00pm (and until 7:00pm on Thursday) .

Our programs have no academic requirement and are entirely FREE. We are looking forself-identified girls and gender non-conforming youth between the ages of 14 and 18.

We have an amazing ONE WEEK program coming up this summer hosted at Columbia University called Fem Sem! The deadline to apply is JUNE 16th Below is a clickable flyer with more information that may be distributed to your students.

Please encourage your students to apply, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other young women, engage with prominent feminist leaders and educators, and develop a gender equity project of their own. It’s also a great way to be a part of the YWCA community.
