Spring 2019 The Urban Journalism Workshop at New York University (NYU) is designed to develop the next generation of great journalists.




The Urban Journalism Workshop at New York University (NYU) is designed to develop the next generation of great journalists. A diverse group of 20 high school juniors and seniors will come together to spend 10 days in a journalism “boot-camp” held at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at the university. During the program, students will receive hands-on instruction from NYU faculty and visiting professionals and get the opportunity to report and produce their own multimedia stories.

Who: High school juniors and seniors who go to school in New York City or nearby in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut
When: Monday, July 8 to Wednesday, July 17

HOW TO APPLY

Fill in the online application by April 24. The program will notify accepted students beginning in the middle of May.
