March 2018 Cooper Hewitt Design Museum Intro to Lighting Design and Hand Lettering Workshop

Cooper Hewitt offers free hands-on workshops for teens to learn about design's creative process. Led by professional designers, the workshops help build skills and a portfolio. All programs are from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Preregistration is required. Open to New York City high school students only.

Wednesday, March 21 | Intro to Lighting Design
Architecture, design, and construction all play a role in the final design of every light fixture in our environment today. In this workshop, participants will work with guest designer Oscar Lopez to design a light fixture prototype.

Love sending handwritten notes? Join Aditi Panchal, Oklahoma City-based graphic designer and illustrator for a fun workshop that explores the craft of hand lettering.
