Cooper Hewitt offers free hands-on workshops for teens to learn about design's creative process. Led by professional designers, the workshops help build skills and a portfolio. All programs are from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Preregistration is required. Open to New York City high school students only.  Wednesday, April 18 | Introduction to Virtual Reality: Create a scene using pictures  Learn the basic components of a VR project and create your own scene using the Google VR SDK that you can view straight in your browser. Students will create a scene using pictures and can then view their VR scenes on their phone. The class assumes no prior programming experience. A laptop is required for this program.
