We're excited to share that
 
Junior Scholars Program at The Schomburg Center for Black Culture

,​ 
is
 recruiting students for 201
​7​
-201
​8.​

This is a unique opportunity for middle school and high school students to 
  • ​G​
    ain a deeper understanding about the Black diaspora
  • ​E​
    nga
    ​ge​
     in college-style lectures and presentations
    ​, 
    ​
    guided peer group discussions and activities, and individual research projects and portfolios and
  • ​Meet and ​
    dialogue with adult scholars
    ​!
​
Whether 
​they​ are a
 poet,
​​
 book-warm, performer, or budding actress, the Junior Scholar Program offers
​ students​
 an opportunity to explore historical in creative, artist ways. 

The application deadline for the program is 
​September ​
22​nd 
but I would like to offer an extension (September 29th) to any students who are interested in applying.
